Who are we, and where did we come from?
In November, 2000, 2 weeks after the birth of
his first child, Chris Wilson found himself unemployed in a crumbling
Tech market
that was glutted with talent, and devoid of employment opportunities.
Not wanting to fall out of step with the ever-changing tech market,
Chris created a job for himself and began taking on freelance projects
while continuing to look for permanent work.
2
years later, still in a slumped economy providing
no real employment opportunities,
Chris changed his focus to growing his created job into a
small business. With
an expanding base of satisfied clients,
Aithene
Multimedia
has continued to grow and build alliances with a tight network
of incredibly talented individuals. So, originally a one man
shop, in a very real way, Aithene Multimedia is a close network
of experienced
specialists with skills in a variety of IT, art and multimedia
disciplines.
Working closely with Terryville
based programmer Steve
Shane, they have formed one of the premiere teams in application
development using Flash MX against various internet technologies,
such as XML, Java, and SOAP, and database structures including
Oracle Database and Portal, SQL database, and others.
A little about Chris:
Chris attended the Joe Kubert School
of Cartoon and Graphic Art in Dover, NJ, majoring in animation. After
school, he began his career as
an
animator
and artist
creating
children's educational video games for Funnybone Interactive
in Canton, CT, where he learned to take his craft to the digital
realm.
In a natural progression of skills,
Chris jumped to internet technologies, creating websites and
interactive media
for Microcast, Inc., formerly the world's largest streaming
media
provider. When Microcast closed during the
tech market crash, Chris continued learning and working,
adding multimedia presentations, corporate ID creation, and
application development in Flash MX to his skill sets.
