Pricing... bartering policy

As a small business who has weathered its share of economic difficulties, we understand that capital can be in short supply. Sometimes paying cash* for needed services is not always easy, or even possible. With that in mind, early on we instituted a Bartering Policy. While bartering generally doesn't pay the bills, we have found it very helpful not only for us, but for our youngest clients as well.

Services can be provided by us on a dollar for dollar ratio against goods and services provided by you.

Terms:

1. If we can provide a service to you, and you believe you have goods or services to offer in exchange, give us a call and make an offer. (You can find an inspirational list of goods and services that we might consider in the box at the right, but feel free to go outside these suggestions. We have bartered for event planning, printing and even for programming services for fellow developers who needed design work.)

2. If we agree that a barter would work to our mutual benefit, we will quote your job the same as any other, and provide you with a dollar amount for the entire job.

3. Arrangements can then be made based upon the needs of both parties to pay for the job completely in barter, a mix of barter and cash, or we can return to a cash only arrangement.

4. Once arrangements have been agreed upon, a contract will be drawn up.

5. Once a project has been started, terms of payment can be changed only if both sides agree to the change. This protects us from having excessive amounts of bartered goods dumped upon us, and protects you from being forced to pay cash once a barter arrangement has been made.

*Cash here refers to any method of payment in US legal tender, whether cash, check or credit card.
